Identity theft with Just a Social Security Number

- According to a Social Security Administration investigator, a type
of identity theft now accounts for a majority of identity fraud cases.
The thief takes out a loan using his own name and address, but with the
your Social Security number, thereby creating a phony
credit report subfile, and the appearance that you are using a
stolen SSN the next time you apply for credit.
